Description: The purpose of the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Program is to protect human health and the environment. The SPDES permit program in the New York State Department of Enivornmental Conservation's Division of Water regulates municipal, industrial, private, commercial and institutional wastewater treatment facilities that discharge to the groundwaters as well as surface waters of New York State. Updated April 2009 This data was collected by Stone Environmental, Inc. for the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund. The original point dataset was clipped to the Mohawk watershed counties. The projection remains in UTM 18N, NAD 83.
